Work Day #5
Today I did a lot of painting and drilling. I helped Emilie and Tim paint a whole bunch of wood boards black. I also helped Rigo put up the final piece of paneling for the new bathroom, which was very cool. Removing paint off of the benches was not quite as cool, but I got it done nonetheless. I am glad that we all got so much work done, and the paradox looks awesome now! Nicole
Today I went to a woman's house to help clean up her yard. Anakin, Hannah, Bill, Carmina, Brandon, Tristin, Caden, and I went to clean up the yard. It took longer than expected but we finally got it done! After we got back Brandon, Caden, and I started the back wall. Not long after we started Beth, Emilie, Tristin, and Tristan came to help us. The wall took forever but we made some great memories in the process! I'm going to miss everyone down here and had a great trip!

Today was a somber and great day all in one. I can't believe that our mission trip is coming to an end. We have built so many relationships with the people there and it's sad to know that we have to leave them. Although it was our last day we had many things that we still had to do. I touched up the purple and blue areas of the walls that needed to be painted and also painted the tips of the ramps. I was using a roller with a stick on it so I had a blast dancing around and goofing off with it but still getting it done. After lunch at some point I went out back with Brandon, Ashley, Tristin, and Caden to help with the back wall. It was super hot out there and being covered in paint did not help us... Oops. The boys kept dropping the paint brushes off the ladders (we think on accident) so we would have to go and look for more paint brushes. We eventually got the wall done even though there were a few hiccups along the way. One of these was that one of the brushes that was dropped my Brandon landed on my head. I took about a 30 minute shower and I still have a ton of paint in my hair. After showering we headed straight over the the Chinese buffet we were eating at tonight the food was good considering I don't like Chinese food. After dinner we went back to the church and watched the amazing slide show that Cerutti worked so hard on! Then some people talked for a bit and ice cream was eventually brought up because the boys realized they had not gotten he ice cream that they had been promised. We were planning on going to Baskin Robins but it was closed so we all decided on Sonic. At some point Caden decided he had to pee so tried to go in the Sonic bathroom. But soon realized there was not toilet paper so ran all the way to big lots just to go to the bathroom. It was the comedic relief everyone needed as we realized that this was our last day together. We eventually got back to the church and hugged everyone goodbye and parted our separate ways. Everyone kept telling me not to cry because they all know I'm bad at goodbyes and I didn't cry! Even though it was hard to say goodbye I know God has many things planned for the paradox and for all the boys and girls that are in it. I will forever remember all of the great memories that have been made here.

I'm tired. Im happy. I'm excited to see what God has for the Paradox. From the words of Sonic, roses are red, ketchup is too, buy a corndog.

I started the day in the sunshine and fresh air raking and cleaning up a lady's yard who greatly supports the Paradox. After completing that, I helped Miguel, Natalie and Anakin take down lights in the skatepark. I also happened to paint a couple walls yellow with Natalie.

I don't think I've ever been more covered in paint in my whole life! Today I only had one job, and that was to paint the kitchen wall black. I worked with Julia and it literally took all day! Even after dozens of baby wipes & a long shower, my arms and legs are still dyed a shade of black. Currently we are sitting at Sonic eating delicious treats. I will sleep well tonight!

I haven't written all week and today so much has come to me that I hope I can keep it short and to the point. All week I've had different tasks that I've helped with. Day 1 I helped with The moving crew and helped a lady move all her things from her apartment to a storage unit, it was supposed to take 2hrs haha 5hrs later we finally finished. Day 2 - day 5 I went back and forth from different tasks but my main one was helping Rigo build a bathroom, we did everything from putting up dry wall, panelling, a roof, some electrical work, and even helped with some plumbing. During all that we also found time to help with painting, and moving A lot of gravel. Day 5 was a challenge in itself a lot of the jobs we did, we did in teams. Today I took on a few tasks by myself and even though I didn't feel that confident God showed me that I can do all things through him all it takes is a lil faith and some hard work in this case. The second half of the day I was asked to take down part of the light system that was in the skate park. In all honesty I looked at the project at hand and started to doubt myself, I looked around and gathered some of the near by kids to help, and just like that the Light⚡️Squad was born. Anakin, Hannah, Natticakes, and I formed a team that could not be stopped. Together we took down the light system in what seamed like no time at all. Again, in all honestly I couldn't be prouder of these kids, the team work that we used to take on this challenge was outstanding and for the second time in one day God showed me how wrong I was for doubting myself and those around me. I'm proud of all of the kids on this mission trip for all their hard work and effort. Love you guys.
